The Virtual Range Training Academy (VRTA) provides professional, scalable firearms safety and self-defense training across the Washington, D.C. metro area. We deliver Maryland State Police and multi-state concealed-carry permit courses and administer the Maryland Handgun Qualification License training required for regulated firearms purchases in Maryland.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Conroy Eversley is the founder and lead instructor of The Virtual Range Training Academy, serving the Washington DC Metro Area (DMV). A lifelong fire enthusiast with years of dedicated firearms safety training, Conroy delivers modern, judgment focused instruction that builds confidence in new students and experienced firearms enthusiasts wanting to improve their skills. He is a USCCA Certified Instructor and Range Safety Officer, and a Maryland State Qualified Handgun Instructor — credentials that anchor a safety-oriented, legally knowledgeable approach to safe ownership. Conroy is committed to teaching a safety-oriented mindset, responsible firearm ownership, and practical skills students can apply immediately to their personal self-defense and that of their family members —emphasizing mindset, situational awareness, and justifiable use-of-force considerations.

VRTA is pioneering immersive training with cutting-edge virtual-simulator platforms that transform how civilians and law enforcement prepare for real-world threats. Our curriculum pairs role-based, scenario-driven instruction—conflict avoidance, de-escalation, use of force, active-shooter response, situational awareness, and marksmanship fundamentals—with an expanding library of 800+ scenarios, from low-stress skill drills to high-stress decision-making simulations. Every course features measurable performance tracking to build confident, competent, and accountable operators.
All training is delivered in a safe, repeatable, non-live-fire environment that accelerates skill acquisition, improves retention, and reduces organizational liability. VRTA blends law-enforcement expertise, proven pedagogy, and advanced simulation technology to set the standard in modern firearms education.
